Warp Speed and Increasing

The pace of life at Broadway is cranking right along. Biggest news....Mom has acute Lyme disease; the blood work results are in. She has really been working with less than all systems. The house is under construction. We decided to take out the wall between our bedroom and your room. You can move to Katherine's old room. Not really...just kidding, we took the wall between our bedroom and the study down. OMG it is huge and full of light. I did most of the demo myself, the professionals started today on the electric and plumbing. We are going to have an awesome room in about 3 weeks. The barn is almost painted; Rick from Agape is doing it, and it looks really good... same color as house. We had a great time with Brad's g-parents....they are very nice people. Brad left you all kinds of Raven's goodies. Oscar is going in for sugery to remove some tumors tomorrow. He will be a very unhappy camper, Rose (the Dane) keeps poking along..it is truly amazing she is still with us.

We are working on an October 10th engagement party for K&C. If this is a foreboding of the future. Lord help us all, we can't get agreement on an invitation. I fear I am going to say something stupid pretty soon as it just does not make sense to me. We are recovering from the shark cage adventure by telling everybody we see. I think that was really cool....I'm proud of you ( a little jealous) but mostly PROUD :-)

Take care

The calm Before the Storm

Starting tomorrow Broadway will be invaded on two fronts. The first will be the Bridesmaid Brigade (minus it's head bridesmaid) to attend the bridal show at the DT Marriott. I have prepared for the increase in estrogen by getting some Ravens time in. Mom was feeling sick so I went to the game solo. The Ravens were victorious and all the normal cast of characters performed better than I could reasonably expect. There were 70,000 people at a Pre-season game ?!?. Go figure. Our seats are awesome. Club level totally under cover. It is on the shady side, but we could do a lot worse.
In the afternoon we are expecting a load of Innis' - Dick, Beth, Mike, and Amanda. for dinner as they pass through. You can expect this household to be pretty upside down by Sunday evening. I am not worried as Millie and I have everything totally under control.
My "gardner's holiday" continues to roll right along and I fear that since I have had several very good meetings with a potential employer I might have to return to world of the gainfully employed. Alas the struggles one must face. As Charlotte would say, "sucks for you Dad"

Adios until the future.

ABUSE

Oh - the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. I fear that the bank is just too far away, and will remain so :-)

Productive You Say

Production abounds all around here at Broadway. The facial hair continues to grow; this should be especially important for remaining incognito at the Dowsers Convention. The weather remains summer like and the orioles continue to suck, but the RAVEN's training camp has started. Bring on the purple. Rose is a little bit distant everyday, but she continues to wave her baton tail when outside. She is amazing a real testament to living easy. We have not seen much of the Woose as she is a busy girl traveling up and down the east coast. She is off to Montreal this weekend. I'll work to figure out how to put pictures while in VT and use them for updates on activities. It should be a hoot and a half; I am looking forward to it.... as is Mom.

I may be getting closer to gainful employment; things went well at MacK today. I hit the f___ing cover off the ball in an 8 on 1 interview today. I was on my game.

peace -

Peace in the Land

Well it was quite the happening with Jordan here. He is ine fun and active little guy. Despite no pets in Chicago, he got along quite well with the gang. His best friend....Jake, His not so best friend....Milly, that was a suprise. He does not talk per se, but you know what he is trying to communicate, Maren is a great Mom.....totally unflappable. It remains HHH and we are expecting rain tomorrow....all day. Have not seen hide nor hair of Sparky, and we know training camp starts Friday in earnest. Mom and I are in constant motion doing this, or going there, but know major dragons are out there. Well we have a little one with Maryland Integrative that we will tackle next week.

We are on Nannan duty for a while.

The Heat Goes On

7/27/2009 17:12 - This being unencumbered stuff is a lot of work. It was a HHH day and the A/C was broken in the house. I stayed with the mechanic all day. It got fixed at 4 PM. The power came cak on at 7:00 this morning. M & the Woose are off to Carlisle; I can only hope that the damage is light. Tomorrow Jordan arrives, we will commence "babyproofing the house in the AM. I hope the woofers are ready for this. We shall see. Expected HHH with thunderstorms are forecasted all week. Ah, summer in Baltimore, it is like nowhere else.

July 26th, 2009 21:00 - Our power is out, and the house is without normal power, The generator has us working, but the A/C has been broken since Saturday. It is hot in the house, The storm that came through was a whopper. It took Woose and Chris 1 hour to get from St. Tim's home. We did not get too much storm damage, byt Chris got whacked with limbs down, He is stressing. Mom went to see NanNan to day with KAP. Suffice it to say the the decline has begun in earnest. I went with the Agape folks to Our Daily Bread this morning, where we served 500 meals to all walks of life. A great reminder of how good we have it. Talked to Uncle Bobby in New Hampshire and we caught up on the news. Well we are getting ready for NJ to pass through here this week. It will be aan adventure.

God Bless

7/23/09 20:46 - Mom and I just returned from an excursion to Annapolis. We went to the Lululemon store in the new shopping district off of Riva Rd.. This will no doubt become a destination for the females of the clan. The past two days have been in the mid 80's and we have gotten some much needed rain in the form of quick storms passing through. Rose has had a really good day....wandered around attentive to the world. Jake has discovered that some rodent has taken up residence under the barn. The barking never stops when he is outside. All is content in Dipping Pond.

The Week has Begun

July 20,2009 - 16:23 - It is a cloudy, but pleasent day here at Dipping Pond. Oscar is experiencing his once/twice in a life time teeth cleaning today. M &D were pretty much erranding the entire day, nothing of important, but all necessary to keep the wheels of progress rolling. It is a bit odd to not have an office to call in to check on the state of the nation, but it is also liberating as well. I am free and easy in a strange sort of way.

7/18/09 19:32 - The day was glorious low 80's and beautiful sinshine. A day to be outside for sure. After thre or four years parked in the garage we got the Gravely runinng and transported it to the Pinkard-Bowers ranch. It was a fun day working with CB in getting it running, involved a trip to Harbor Freight. Mom at the Box from 10-1 and then took on Nordy's with the Woose. At Harbor Freight we obtained a handheld electronic bee zapper that closely resembles a tennis racquet.........cool beans! The pictures and update from SA were outstanding, we cannot wait for more.

The real blogging begins

7/17/09, 14:32 - Hazy, hot & humid - normal weather for Baltimore. Well, we heard from the world traveler today. It provided much relief to know she was there and that the trip was uneventful in a good way. We were amazed that she was traveling with an old Calvert classmate (David Shea) What a small world. Some very positive discussions were had with a potential future employer. As Uncle Clarke always says......."onward and upward!"
